DESCRIPTION

The Trickfish Signal Filter is probably going to be one of the most useful pedals you ever invest in, especially if you play live. Bass frequencies in a live setting can be very challenging to manage. If you've ever been told to turn down your bass, it's probably not due to volume, but because there's a buildup of frequencies on stage or in the room that steamrolls over everything else.

This pedal is essential if you play live in different venues and struggle with room acoustics. It's perfect for cleaning up your low end and high end so that muddy-sounding frequencies don't kill your bandmates' ability to hear themselves or resonate like crazy in the room.

Unlike traditional EQ, the Signal Filter uses dual, independently selectable filters that offer a steep cut at 24dB per octave. The high-pass filter sweeps from 38Hz to 310Hz, and the low-pass filter sweeps from 330Hz to 15kHz. This allows you to curb the highs and/or the lows while keeping the remaining frequencies fully intact.

If your low end is too boomy, dial up the high-pass filter until your sound is boomy no more. If your bass is a little bright or clanky up top, dial back the low-pass filter until it sounds warmed up but retains your mid range definition. An additional gain control on the high-pass channel (up to 15dB) ensures that any perceived volume lost from cutting the deep low end can be added back in.

It's also great for the studio "Pultec" trick, where you first boost and then cut bass. You get all the heft and punch from the low frequencies while cutting out the frequencies that make your tone muddy.

It has independent footswitches for the low-pass and high-pass filters, giving you two different tones available. The steel chassis is built to last, and with top mounted jacks it’s sure to fit your pedalboard.

This is a super useful pedal that’s a must-have in every bass player's signal chain, especially if you play live in different rooms and need to adjust your tone quickly.

From Trickfish

Introducing the ultimate tone sculpting tool for musicians who demand precision and versatility: the Signal Filter. This isn’t just any filter; it’s a meticulously designed device that offers unparalleled control over your sound’s frequency spectrum.

Trickfish's Signal Filter is a smart tone shaping tool that offers variable High Pass and Low Pass filters to “pocket” your sound, reigning in the high and low end when you need a tone that’s a little less wide or hi-fi.

As opposed to traditional EQ which boosts and cuts at a set frequency with sloping curves on either side, the Signal Filter uses dual, independently selectable filters that offer a steep cut at 24db per octave on the bass range starting at 38Hz all the way up to 310hz, and on the treble range from 330hz all the way down to 15kHz. This allows you to curb the highs and/or the lows while keeping the remaining inside frequencies fully intact. Say you like the sound of your bass but the low end is too boomy on stage? No problem, just dial up the High Pass until your sound is tightened up but still full and beefy. Maybe your bass sounds great but is a little bright or ‘clanky’ up top? Just dial back the Low Pass until it sounds sufficiently warmed up but retains the right amount of punch and articulation needed. An additional Gain control on the High Pass Channel ensures that any perceived volume lost from cutting the deep low end can be added back in.

Technical in detail, but highly readable.
Format: Hardcover
This is an excellent commentary on Revelation alone or alongside other commentaries. Schreiner interacts with other scholars in the field, summarizing the interpretive options, and constantly reaches a theologically solid conclusion. You won't be disappointed!

Not great, not bad
Format: Hardcover
There are a few sections that are stand-outs. He's a pleasant writer, but over all not much new ground plowed.

Helped me ace my final!
Format: Paperback
I strongly recommend this study guide to anyone who needs to understand and apply the pathophysiology in a final exam. The original book was the textbook for my pathophysiology course- it is over 1000 pages and overwhelming. This study guide broke down the important aspects of each chapter into very doable practice questions. The answer guide at the back has perforations - so I tore mine out and it made it so much easier to follow along and study with this guide. If you are struggling to learn/memorize/understand/apply all the pathophysiology concepts-I strongly suggest using this study guide. It really helped me get through my exam - and I am not a good test taker. Good luck in your studies!
